Position Description and Responsibilities:

The Department of Physical Therapy in the College of Health Professions is looking to hire a post-doctoral fellow to assist with a funded 4-year research study to develop a measure of prosthetic attention for use in persons with limb loss. This position is a restricted position, and is contingent upon grant funding for continuing employment.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the following responsibilities:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the project under the guidance of study PI Collection and analysis of participant data and assist in dissemination of project results Supervision of a Graduate Research Assistant and will be responsible for Assisting with additional research activities including maintaining Human Subjects approvals and coordinating with the Research Study Coordinator and clinical staff to identify and schedule participants.
Required Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Must have completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a health-sciences related discipline by July 1, 2022. Excellent writing skills required, as evidenced by publications or grant-writing experience Must possess strong self-motivation, problem-solving ability, and open communication. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with lower limb loss. Experience with mixed methods research designs.
