POSITION SUMMARY :

The IT Security Administrator, under the direction of the Chief Information Security Officer is responsible for tactical implementation of the execution of IT security standards, best practices, architecture, and systems to ensure consistent application of IT security across the enterprise ensuring information security controls are prioritized and maintained when users and/or vendors require access to internal/external systems/databases/applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsible for day-to-day administration of, Security Appliances, and security related software and hardware, along with security incident resolution. Implements processes and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance of IT security standards and facilitate the migration of non-compliant environments to compliant environments. Responsible for administration of Advanced Threat Protection. Participates in the planning and implementation of security requirements for IT projects and makes recommendations for security applications to assist with the implementation of changes to strengthen security measures. Manages Incident response program and plans. Analyzes and assesses available Security tools and countermeasures to remedy the detected vulnerabilities and recommends solutions and best practices. Analyzes and assesses suspected or actual damage to the data/infrastructure as a result of security incidents, examines available recovery tools and processes, and recommends and/or implements solutions. Analyzes, assesses, and maintains current security policies and procedures. Provides recommendations to the CISO.Performs information security risk assessments, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) regarding security issues Provides recommendations to the CISO. Maintains information security policies and procedures to ensure security strategies are followed to meet the organizational security goals and standards.Performs vulnerability scanning on critical systems regularly and report gaps to appropriate team leads.Interfaces and performs daily tasks assisting the CISO in the administration of managed security services.Documents all security policies and promotes activities and procedures to create an awareness of the significance of security within the Organization.Leads efforts to ensure the network and server system hardware, operating systems, software systems and all related implementation, maintenance and operations procedures comply with security policies standards.Performs Risk Based Assessments on proposed projects with regular tabletop and full disaster recovery exercises. Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.As required, install, and configure new hardware and software.Maintain logs related to network security operations as well as maintenance, change and repair records.Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

·Associate degree or equivalent credits towards Bachelor’s degree

A minimum of 3 years of direct support working in an advanced Information Technology Security position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·Bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

·Comp TIA Network Security + Certification

·CISSP Certification

Information security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISA, Sec+, etc.) preferred.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of related field Or Associate's degree and three years of related experience Or Four years of related experience
