Role

This is a 48/52 position.

As a Learning Designer, you will build online learning materials for students from Foundation to Year 12. You will be responsible for transforming course documents into engaging, interactive online learning content within the school's LMS, by collaborating with Course Writers, Editors and other stakeholders. You will have access to ongoing professional development and flexible work arrangements with the ability to work both on and off site. With generous leave entitlements you will not be working overtime, on weekends or during school holidays.

With a very high standard of written and verbal skills, you will be able to quickly and easily transform educational content into an appealing and user-friendly product for a wide variety of students. You will be at a further advantage if you possess the additional skills to be able to maintain good relationships with varying types of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design engaging learning materials within the Moodle LMS. Collaborate with Course Writers, Editors and other stakeholders. Build interactive content using various tools, such as H5P and Articulate. Create or modify assets using various tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite Work with various stakeholders to improve processes and refine styles. Advise and support teaching staff developing learning program material for use within the LMS. Test new functions/tools inside the LMS before introducing them to teachers and students. Develop HTML and CSS based templates for teaching staff and students to use. Perform other duties as directed.

Ideally, you will further have:

Qualifications and/or comparable experience developing digital learning design in a similar or related field The ability to build and maintain meaningful and successful relationships with a wide array of internal and external contacts Experience, preferably in an educational setting, in digital service design using a content management system and/or other integrated learning tools and online programs

Experience with User Interface and User Experience design

VSV employs a hybrid rostering system of remote and onsite work. The successful applicant will be required to work onsite at Virtual School Victoria, 315 Clarendon Street, Thornbury a minimum of two days per week.
