The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Clinical Director at the Montana Chemical Dependency Center (MCDC).
The Clinical Services Director position provides leadership and guidance to behavioral health staff at MCDC. The position develops and implements clinical programming across the facility using evidenced based practices and culturally appropriate approaches that are strength based.The Director of Clinical Services is expected to facilitate supervision using a team-based philosophy and is a key member of the management team maximizing facility effectiveness and sustainability. The position supervises 13 employees, assists with recruitment and discipline processes, and reviews and revises policies and procedures.

·Expert knowledge in the management of clinical treatment programs and personnel practices.
·Knowledge of ASAM guidelines and general industry standard practices.

·Knowledge of Montana Tribes, cultures, histories and government relations, including concepts of sovereignty and self-determination.
·Knowledge of budgetary practices.
·Excellent written and oral communication skills including public speaking.

·Ability to work with, establish and maintain credibility and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with Tribes and their leadership.
·Ability to analyze and implement effective treatment strategies following facility policies andstate laws, rules and regulations.

·Meet the following minimum qualifications:
Master’s Degree. Must be licensed in the State of Montana as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). Dual licensure in the State of Montana as a an LCSWor LCPC, and as a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) is preferred. Five years of job-related experience, preferably in chemical dependency counseling, clinical social work, clinical professional counseling or psychology. Five years of supervisory experience preferred. Two years’ experience working with the Native American population preferred. Co-occurring treatment experience preferred. Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
