Principal Clinical Psychology Educator (Grade 5)

Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services provides person-centred, recovery-oriented care, treatment and support through our multi-disciplinary workforce of skilled and dynamic clinicians, and Lived and Living experience (LLE) consumer and carer experts.

We are dedicated to providing caring and high-quality specialist community and hospital-based mental health services for adults and older adults who are experiencing, or are at risk of developing a serious mental illness. We are committed to working with consumers during their recovery by offering trauma informed holistic and evidence-based treatment, which is inclusive of family, carers and kin and provided by staff with well-developed skills.

Your new role:

This role leads the coordination and implementation of a training strategy to ensure best practice evidence-based psychological treatments across all levels of our workforce. Be part of the RMH MHS Psychology Senior Leadership team and lead a team of Clinical Psychology Educators (Grade 4) Identify and respond to training needs ensuring fundamental psychological skills for all staff and advanced skills for psychologists Drive research and quality improvement studies in psychological interventions in collaboration with local and international collaborators, particularly the university sector Coordinate the intake, placement and development of Early Career Psychologists

About you:

The successful candidate will have a deep conviction and passion for education and research supporting the development and provision of psychological models supporting recovery and growth in consumers of our service.

You have at least 10 years’ experience in a relevant large, multi-campus health setting (preferably mental health) You have demonstrated clinical experience and advanced knowledge and skills to be able to provide education and coordinate the planning and development and management of clinical teaching of psychologists employed in the service, including programs for Interns and Registrars. You have a strong commitment to working with Consumer and Carer Lived Experience workforce and interest in co-design You are a team player looking to contribute and learn as part of our senior leadership team
