Help the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife fulfill its mission: To protect and enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats for use and enjoyment by present and future generations.

 

There is one full-time, Limited Duration position with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) located in Salem. The duration of this assignment is expected to continue through at least June 30, 2025.

What you will do:

The main objective of this position is to initiate and manage a top-priority project for the agency: the replacement and redesign of our current agency website. This position will be responsible for driving the development of a comprehensive business case for the new website which will entail analyzing market trends, conducting thorough research on industry best practices, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and assess organizational needs.  Along with business case development and approval this position will be responsible for navigating the state of Oregon’s stage gate approval process along with facilitating the procurement process for a website solution and will be expected to outline clear objectives, define key deliverables, establish timelines, and allocate resources effectively to support the website’s development and implementation.

Working Conditions
• This position requires an individual capable of working independently with minimal instruction and supervision and will perform a high volume of detailed work in a complex and technical environment. This position is often required to respond to questions, provide status updates, delegate tasks and coordinate resources with committee members, project team and other stakeholders to complete individual tasks or the overall project. They will be frequently required to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously. Must interact on a frequent basis with management, executives, and various work groups to provide detailed reports and recommendations in the form of written documents or presentations. Work may involve a substantial amount of time using a computer or moving between work areas.

• This position requires a flexible work schedule that varies in the number of hours worked on a daily basis, but not necessarily each day, or a work schedule in which the starting and stopping times vary on a daily basis, but not necessarily each day.

• May be required to work odd hours to meet workload demands. Occasional out of state travel is required to meet the objectives of coordinating the project with a partner vendor.
