Outreach and Engagement Specialist

AECOM is seeking a highly talented, self-driven and motivated Outreach and Engagement Specialist based in Hartford, Connecticut.
In this position, you will be a member of the Outreach and Engagement team on our CT rides project, which manages the statewide transportation demand management (TDM) program for the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
This program aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality by encouraging Connecticut residents to use green, active transportation modes such as carpooling, public transportation, and bicycling.
As a CTrides Outreach and Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with CTrides partners within an assigned territory. You will assist these partners with the implementation of commuter options programs that help reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality. You will work in a fast-paced team environment following a sales model with monthly performance metrics.
This position is expected to begin in September 2022
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Develops and implements internal and external communications that include: internet/intranet content, press releases, award submissions, conference/tradeshow material, email messaging, and AECOM enterprise initiatives
Provides communication consultation to internal/external departments
Must have a combination of writing, graphics, organizational/management and people skills
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team; manage multiple assignments; interact effectively with employees at all levels
Exercises sound judgment when communicating with internal and/or external clients or customers
Latitude of creativity is required to produce effective and successful communication materials
Works under limited supervision with final work product reviewed to validate consistency with branding requirements and messaging
May provide functional advice and training to less experienced team members

BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid Driver's License
Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills and experience in handling multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner
Conduct market research, develop prospecting strategies, build relationships, and identify new partnership opportunities
The ability to synthesize information, summarize critical insights, and communicate solutions in clear verbal and written form is essential
Knowledge of Microsoft Office computer applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Customer Relationship Management experience is a plus
