                                                     MarillacHealth & Pic Place are hiring a Dental Director 
                                                               Sign On Bonus for two-year commitment 

Job Summary: Dental Director will serve as the onsite manager of the Dental Department at the assigned location/locations. Actively participates in the clinic’s Strategic Planning process through observation of and discussion with the Dental Director. Helps implement the goals and measurable outcomes along with introducing timely corrective action. Is an active member of the Leadership team. Serves on committees as agreed upon with the Chief Dental Officer and Chief Executive Officer.    

 

Essential Functions:  

· Backs up the Chief Dental Officer, by working with the Manager of Dental operations to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of dental clinic (scheduling, patient complaints, etc.). Works constructively with Clinic staff and dental director to ensure smooth operation of the dental program. Helps oversee all Marillac Clinic dental delivery sites and helps evaluate site performance: clinically, operationally, and financially.  

· Provides care in the following disciplines of an advanced general dental practice: diagnosis, preventive dentistry, operative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, removable prosthodontics, endodontics, fixed, oral surgery, and implantology  

· Works in a leadership team with dentists, manager of Dental operations and Hygienists to assure quality in-house clinical dental training of staff. Helps create, update, and implement all care policies, protocols, and procedures.  

· Expected to provide continuity of leadership in the absence of the dental director. Participates in all aspects of current dental director duties. Learns from the current dental director in preparation to assume all responsibilities of running the Marillac Clinic Dental Department  

· Aids Dental Director in evaluating clinical performance of professional and auxiliary dental staff. Works in a team with manager of Dental operations to provide consistent supervisory guidance to staff  

· Assists Dental Director in attaining grant goals by assuring deliverables are met. Assists in HRSA grant applications and helps ensure all goals are met and reported in a timely fashion.  

· Acts as a representative of the Marillac Clinic, Inc. with local dentists and their staffs, dental laboratories, service clubs and organizations, patients, and the public, acting in a professional and responsible manner  

· Assists associates with corrective actions identified during performance reviews and helps Dental Director establish realistic and attainable goals. Accurately documents associate performance  

· Assists in the recruitment, evaluation, and selection of personnel  

· Develops associate knowledge and ability to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities  

· Helps revise job duties for associates as required  

· Assist the QI department in all HRSA requirements  

· Comply with all OSHA, HIPAA and BLS Policies and procedures at MarillacHealth  

· Performs other related job duties as assigned by the supervisor 

Competencies:   

• Successful demonstration of supervisory and leadership skills 

• Computer Skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Dental EMR 

Required Education/Experience:  

• Five years (DMD, DDS, etc.) completed. (Advanced Education in General Practice Residency completed beyond dental school with training in implant placement and restoration, and medically compromised patients.) 

• Current Colorado Dentist License, DEA registration, BLS 

Pay determined based upon experience.
