As a Contract Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the project contract development process from inception to completion. Your primary tasks include coordinating job specification components, assisting in contractor evaluation and selection, and recommending award decisions. Additionally, you will ensure consistency across all contract components and lead commercial evaluations as part of the bid review team. You will play a pivotal role in negotiating significant redlines on global project engineering, procurement, and construction agreements while adhering to risk management guidelines. Collaboration with various departments, such as PP&E and legal teams, is essential to maximize commercial intensity and value. Furthermore, you will monitor the contractor market, analyze market intelligence data, and integrate commercial and technical contracting components to ensure overall contract quality and integrity.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the project contract development process, coordinating job specification components and assisting in contractor evaluation, selection, and award recommendation.\r
Ensure consistency between principal documents and all other contract components, including exhibits and job specifications.\r
Lead commercial evaluations as a member of the bid review team, accurately reflecting the commercial impact of any contractual or technical/execution issues resolved during the evaluation period.\r
Ensure all documents and exhibits are complete and included in the final contract, and that all functional reviews are completed as required.\r
Conduct negotiations with significant redlines on global project engineering, procurement, and construction agreements, adhering to risk management guidelines.\r
Proactively communicate and collaborate with PP&E, legal, and category families to maximize commercial intensity and value.\r
Monitor the status of the contractor market, seeking input from category managers, and analyze market intelligence data to optimize project execution strategies.\r
Integrate overall commercial and technical contracting components to ensure overall contract quality and integrity.\r

Qualifications and Experience:

  • \r
  • 10+ years of broad-based experience in related professional fields.\r
  • Strong proficiency and experience in commercial negotiations, contractor management, and contract administration for large project engineering, procurement, and construction agreements.\r
  • Proficient in oral and written communication.\r
  • Outstanding initiative, drive, and resilience in day-to-day activities to meet tight deadlines.\r
  • MBA preferred (BS/MS Engineering, MS Construction Management).\r
