The Solar Permitting and utility Processing Specialist plays a crucial role in the successful implementation of solar projects by overseeing the permitting and utility processing aspects. This role ensures that all necessary permits are acquired and utility interconnections are processed efficiently allowing for the seamless deployment of solar systems.

- Collaborate with local government agencies to obtain all necessary permits for solar installations.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes zoning regulations and permitting requirements.
- Maintain an uptodate knowledge of regional permitting processes and requirements.
- Liaise with utility companies to initiate the interconnection process for solar systems.
- Manage the paperwork and documentation required for utility applications.
- Monitor the progress of utility approvals and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Create and maintain accurate records of all permitting and utilityrelated documents.
- Ensure that all required documents are organized and readily accessible for audits and inspections.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all permitting and utilityrelated inquiries.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and installers to ensure a smooth process.
- Keep stakeholders informed about the status of permits and utilities.
- Stay current with changes in local regulations and utility policies.
- Ensure that all projects adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in resolving compliancerelated issues.
- Generate reports on permit and utility processing status.
- Provide regular updates to management on project timelines and issues.
- Identify and address any challenges or roadblocks in the permitting and utility process.
- Develop and implement solutions to streamline the process.
- Other functions as directed and/ or assigned.

Requirements
Requirements Education Skills Qualifications and Experience:
- Willingness to learn
- Great customer service
- Must have a clean drivers license and background check
- Must have a High School diploma or a GED
- Solar experience.
- Previous experience in permitting and utility processing in the solar or construction industry
- Strong knowledge of local building codes zoning regulations and permitting procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in recordkeeping and document management.
- Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problemsolving skills and the ability to adapt to changing regulations.
- Works independently as a team player and drives results in a fastpaced team based environment
