Job Summary
AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Project Executive/Director to join our team supporting a growing Healthcare Construction Practice based in Chicago IL and supporting the surrounding area and multi-state region. Job Summary:
  • Responsible for client/project development, resource management, and supervision of construction activities as they relate to contract administration and management of scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.
  • Responsible for overall project performance including job profit and loss for Construction projects.
  • Lead projects from acquisition through design/preconstruction and construction, maintaining relationships with design team, client, project team and subcontractors.
  • Support business development efforts through development of project approach, including analysis of project requirements, preparation of project schedule, evaluation of site logistics and budget & cost development.
The job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Coordination and integration of multi-discipline project functions including but not limited to construction, project controls, quality, and commercial administration in a manner to meet project operational and business objectives.
  • Responsible to establish a culture of safe work performance. Actively engaged in developing and managing client relations.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates projects to repair, alter and renovate building structure and installed equipment, and supervise a multi-disciplined construction workforce performing work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Complete accountability and direction for entire project, from pre-construction phase to completion and is the primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
  • Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
  • Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to pre-construction budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.
  • Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project

  • BA/BS + 12 years of vertical building construction management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
  • Previous business development experience acting in a seller/doer role
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, engineering, or similar discipline
  • 15 years of construction management experience
  • Previous experience overseeing Healthcare construction projects.
  • Previous experience managing construction projects exceeding $ 50 mil.
  • Experience utilizing a variety of construction contracting methods.
  • ASHE – (CHC) Certified Healthcare Constructor Certification
  • ASHE – (HCC) Healthcare Construction Workshop Participant
