AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Technical Designer for our New York City, New York office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for initiating and developing design and construction document drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project’s discipline leaders
Under direct supervision, may complete design assignments of limited complexity
Limited familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline
Introduced to the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures
Basic understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents

BA/BS + 4 years related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Advanced Experience / Proficiency with Revit
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture ,Interior Design or related field from an accredited school
- 8 + years of technical design experience working on commercial/corporate interiors projects in interior design practice is preferred
- Licensed/registered architect is desirable, not a requirement
- Advanced Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3dMax, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in presentation and graphic communication skills
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
