Vulnerability Assessment Analyst

You‘ll develop your vulnerability analysis expertise by supporting Booz Allen‘s cutting-edge cloud-native 5G network with ongoing penetration research, data science efforts, virtual and augmented reality programs, and much more. On our team, you‘ll be trusted to probe targets using the latest network-based analysis tools while leveraging your innate curiosity and technical expertise to select attack vectors and match attack vectors to tools, capabilities, and mission intent.

You Have:

  • 10 years of experience with network, security, and vulnerability analysis

  • Experience with specifications, protocols, deployments, security, and vulnerability assessments of 4G, LTE, and 5G systems

  • Experience with cyber defense policies, audits of networks, operating systems, applications, databases and other information system components and communicating findings and mitigations to stakeholders

  • Knowledge of telecommunication protocols, architecture, and processes, including air interface protocols

  • Knowledge of security architecture and design, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Virtual Private Networking, and virus and malware protection technologies

  • Knowledge of next generation networking solutionssuch as Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC), and network slicing

  • Knowledge of 5G use cases such as Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), smart warehouses, and Vehicle to everything (V2X)

  • Ability to perform information system security vulnerability scanning to discover and analyze vulnerabilities to support the characterization of risk to networks, operating systems, applications, databases, and other information system components

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor‘s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology or 15 years of experience with vulnerability assessment in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with programming and scripting in languages, including C, C++, Java, Python, Perl, or bash

  • Experience with network security and vulnerability analysis tools, including Wireshark and tcpdump, Nmap, Nessus, OpenVAS, or Metasploit

  • Experience with cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, virtualization, or software-defined networking

  • Experience with Linux OS

  • Experience with creating proof of concepts to demonstrate security weaknesses

  • Knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, including NIST SP 800-115, STRIDE, and MITRE ATT&CK

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual‘s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen‘s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
