The Marketing Leader will take the lead on external communications and craft content to position EKC work effectively to the region. They are also charged with working closely with all other EKC associates to market EKC programs and tools to increase engagement, build brand awareness, and create elevated experiences for all stakeholders.


Job Description

OWNERSHIP ​

  • Cluster by cluster communication plan and strategy.
  • EKC programs / tools marketing campaigns.
  • Social media content calendar.
  • Quarterly report publication and distribution.
  • Event promotion and facilitation.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and implement detailed communication strategies to position region as a magnet for talent and enterprise growth.
  • Promote the EKC brand, tools, and programs to attract talented professionals and high-growth enterprises to start here, grow here, and stay here.
  • Create and manage the development of content for all EKC tools / programs that is consistent with brand guidelines and relevant to target audiences (quarterly reports, press releases, event summaries, testimonials, one-pagers).
  • Understand current and future Cluster requirements and translate them into specific branding strategies to spark activity.
  • Work with other Cyber Leaders to complete multichannel initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to create seamless communication channels.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

  • Remain current on issues impacting the Cluster by maintaining expertise in functional assigned areas.
  • Develop and execute project plans and hold regular stakeholder meetings to update project progress.
  • Provide expertise and consultative advice to Cluster members to optimize the Cluster Ecosystem.
  • Respond to all requests from external and internal clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Regularly attend cyber user group and networking events across the region.
  • Identify business and market trends utilizing multiple sources of data.
  • Comply with all company policies and proactively protecting confidentiality of Client and company information.
  • Develop weekly Progress, Problems, Plans (P3) report.


SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-pace, deadline driven environment.
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, including planning, goal setting, organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing.
  • Ability to energize a network of people to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Familiarity with SAAS business models.
  • Familiarity with program design and implementation.
  • Ability to put team success above personal preference.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Strong, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills (MS Teams and MS Project skills a plus).
  • Strong social media skills (LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite tools.
