Your duties at a glance

As a Direct Care Workforce Registry Analyst, you will:

  • Develop program operations for caregiving registry of direct care providers of home and community-based services.
  • Collaborate with diverse groups to design certification requirements that improve skill level and training of caregivers and increase continued advancement.
  • Engage with partners statewide and nationally in identifying curriculum development for all long-term care providers including home and community based direct care workers.
  • Lead and coordinate with various training teams and state licensing boards to document curriculum requirements.
  • Develop policy, program operations and systems to support program development.
  • Write administrative rules and policies based on new legislation that guide program operations.
  • Monitor expenditures and outcomes in reports and contracts to develop continuous improvements.
  • Maintain a public facing registry of caregivers with statutory defined information.
  • Develop and maintain website training requirements for direct care providers.
  • Participate in policy and systems workgroups.
  • Bring equity and wellbeing concerns and needs from local communities, coalitions of color and other organizations involved in community equity work to leadership attention.

What you need to qualify

A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; AND two years’ experience coordinating or administering a program.

OR

Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within and across agencies to build quality improvement programming.
  • Experience and knowledge of Oregon’s long term care delivery system and regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of developing technical projects and working with IT systems.
  • Experience bringing equity and wellbeing concerns and needs from local communities, coalitions and other organizations involved in equity work to leadership attention.

Working conditions

  • Oregon remote work or alternative work location will be considered in filling this position. The ability to report to Salem is required when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities. 
  • Travel within state and nationally may be required for meetings and conferences.
  • Employee will work a professional work week where the hours of work fluctuate on a daily and weekly basis to meet service needs.
