Summary

This position is located in the Reserve Fleet, Office of Fleet Program Management, Office of the Deputy Associate Administrator for Federal Sealift, Office of the Associate Administrator for Strategic Sealift, Maritime Administration (MARAD). The mission of the Reserve Fleet activity (Fleet) is to maintain custody of numerous ocean-going merchant type vessels, offshore supply vessels, and various vessels owned by other Government agencies.
 

Duties

As a Fleet Administrative Officer, you will :

Oversee fleet purchase card program. Approving Official for all fleet cardholders. Act as a liaison with the Office of Human Resource regarding personnel-related actions for the fleet site. Assists the Fleet Superintendent in the planning and prioritization of personnel actions and monitors the progress of these actions in collaboration with and as reported by the Office of Human Resources. Manages fleet recruitment needs. Submitting recruitment packages to HR. Provide budget formulation and/or execution for office budget; prepares a variety of budget analyses; and maintains budget records.

The ideal candidate is responsible for planning, prioritizing, and assigning work, collaborating with peers and subordinates to assure effective advisory services, and otherwise ensuring continuous progress toward stated goals.
