Job Summary

We are seeking a Systems Integration Manager to join our Baltimore, MD office. Take advantage of this exciting opportunity to be part of the latest Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) Systems Project in the United States and the only project to combine procurement of new railcars with the upgrade of the train control system. This individual will provide oversight of the Contractor during design, testing, and commissioning activities for new solid-state interlockings, Automatic Train Supervision Systems, and Communications Based Train Control Systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the Systems Integration of the CBTC project.
  • Coordinate all systems engineering and integration activities with project management team, stakeholders, and the Contractor.
  • Reviews ATC requirements and ensures compliance of Contractor designs and execution.
  • Ensure that contractor is taking a streamlined/focused approach to implementing systems integration on the CBTC project.
  • Work with the team and the coordinator to ensure that Contract requirements are understood by all parties and documented in associated CDRLS, such as System and Subsystem requirements documents.
  • Oversee configuration management, V&V management, system integration and change control.
  • Oversee the implementation of the requirements management.
  • Develop presentations to report on Contactor progress on Integration and systems activities.
  • Follow up with the suppliers’ field activities, including installation, testing, system integration, and operational scenarios.
  • Creating integration test specifications for software components and providing reviews and oversight for integration procedures, tests, and test reports.
  • Planning integration of software baselines, and software/hardware integration activities.
  • Provide support in business development efforts for signaling, train control, and CBTC projects.
  • Support Project Managers and Systems Engineering teams delivering ATC projects
  • Assist in the oversight of testing and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with requirements and approved documentation
  • Manage and provide performance guidance and leadership to assigned staff.
  • Remain current on the latest transit and rail engineering techniques and practices.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 8 + years of relevant post-education experience in engineering, prior transit and rail experience, and infrastructure design.
  • Experience in the delivery and design of large-scale metro and rail projects
  • Railway, signaling, metro, CBTC experience is required.
  • Strong ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules and hours to meet business needs.
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal. Must be well organized.
  • Ability to assume growing responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications
