Job Summary
AECOM Transportation – CM/CEI is seeking a candidate for the position of Engineering Technician III/Construction Inspection-Design, in their Stevens Point, WI office. Work will consist of construction inspection, materials testing, administration, and CAD of WisDOT and local projects.

The successful candidate will be based out of the Stevens Point, WI office and will be responsible for communicating directly with team members, AECOM Project Leaders, and contractors. They will work independently and with other team members to complete quality WisDOT and local construction and design projects on time and within budgets. Travel may be required during the day or overnight for projects in the North Central Region with all expenses paid. Flexible scheduling is available based upon individual project timing.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements. Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
• General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
• Professional certification desirable if applicable.
Minimum Requirements
  • HS + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven 5-15 plus years of past WisDOT and local construction inspection and materials inspection experience
  • Familiarity with WisDOT: FDM, Standard Specifications, Material Certification Requirements, AASHTOWare, Pantry, and Construction Practices
  • GPS and Survey equipment knowledge
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D Design or similar applications and Microsoft Office
  • WisDOT material certifications including: AGGTECH, PCCTECH, NUCDENSITYTEC, TMS, MCT, GRADINGTEC
