Responsibilities
The intern will be involved in development of and experimentation on hardware-in-the-loop testbeds including development and testing of power system models, control algorithms, and lab-scale smart grid communications. This will additionally involve working with Python-based APIs (or other languages) for increased automation. Other responsibilities will include proper documentation and presentation of the work done.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must be currently enrolled/matriculated in a PhD program at an accredited college. Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.Preferred Qualifications:
PhD candidates in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) Understanding of Smart Grid Operations Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testbeds (such as OPAL-RT) Proficiency in Python programming languageHazardous Working Conditions/Environment
