Welch Olsen LLP is a young and growing CPA firm specializing in tax, accounting and payroll for small business owners. We are a small office (only two partners) and we value flexibility and work/life balance - people who work for us are not allowed to miss important life/family events because of work. Welch Olsen offers a unique and valuable service to our clients, and because of that, we are growing rapidly. We are looking to add a dynamic team player to our office who can help manage our accounting practice. We pride ourselves on our relaxed, fun atmosphere. An ideal candidate should have a strong background in QuickBooks Online as well as the ability to quickly analyze and improve messy financials. The position will work extensively with both clients and our internal staff, so strong communication skills, and a pleasant demeanor are a must.

ResponsibilitiesFinancial statement preparationNew client onboardingMonthly bank reconciliationsAdjusting journal entriesQuickBooks troubleshootingCommunication directly with clientsCategorization of transactions (limited)Additional client/management request

QualificationsQuickBooks Online proficiency is a MUSTQuickBooks Desktop proficiency is a plus, but not requiredAt least two years of relevant accounting experienceStrong communication skillsAbility to meet deadlines and stay on task with little oversightFriendly and patient demeanor
