The New Unit Projects EHS Pole Leader for the EMEA region is responsible for overseeing all EHS aspects across New Unit Projects within the EMEA Pole. This role reports directly to the Gas Power New Units EHS Leader and indirectly (dotted line) to the EMEA New Unit Pole Projects Leader and manages the NU Portfolio and Site EHS Teams across the EMEA Pole. Key responsibilities include ensuring EHS compliance, addressing potential EHS issues, and mitigating liabilities associated with New Unit Projects.

Ses principales responsabilités couvrent la conformité aux normes EHS, la résolution des problèmes EHS potentiels et l'atténuation des responsabilités associées aux projets de nouvelles unités.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee EHS activities for all New Unit projects in the EMEA Pole.
- Implement the EHS management system, including policy, planning, training, risk assessment, inspections, audits, and event management.
- Enforce GE Vernova EHS standards and procedures at project sites, including those managed by non-GE personnel such as consultants and subcontractors.
- Travel to project sites regularly across the EMEA Pole providing coaching, mentoring and leadership
- Participate in incident investigations for serious or high-potential events.
- Address EHS non-compliance and provide data analysis to leadership on trends and corrective measures.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the EMEA Pole Projects Leader and team.
- Develop and enhance EHS programs supporting the Gas Power business across the EMEA Pole.
- Assess EHS conditions, develop corrective-action plans, and allocate budgets to address deficiencies relative to regulations and internal protocols.
- Build an EHS talent pipeline, enhancing the capabilities of front-line EHS leaders to meet regional challenges.
- Manage partnerships with customers and partners to ensure safety at New Unit sites.
- Execute EHS action plans to achieve key performance indicators.
- Lead and support Projects EHS Portfolio leaders and Directors and their teams.
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Business, or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
- Extensive global or regional EHS and / or project team leadership experience.
- Operational experience managing large sites or projects.
- Effective communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and to obtain necessary permits/visas in a timely manner and on short notice for travel to locations such as the UK, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, Poland, and occasionally the USA.

- Proficiency Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Knowledge of GE Vernova EHS programs and policies.

- Se rendre régulièrement sur les sites des projets dans tout le pôle EMEA pour offrir un accompagnement, des conseils et un encadrement
- Participer aux enquêtes sur les incidents pour les événements graves ou à fort potentiel
- Remédier à toute non-conformité EHS et fournir à la direction une analyse de données sur les tendances et les mesures correctives
- Cultiver de solides relations avec les principales parties prenantes, notamment avec le Responsable des projets du pôle EMEA et son équipe
- Développer et améliorer les programmes EHS mis en œuvre par la branche Gas Power dans tout le pôle EMEA
- Évaluer les conditions EHS, élaborer des plans d'actions correctives et allouer les budgets nécessaires pour remédier aux écarts constatés par rapport aux réglementations et aux protocoles internes
- Créer un vivier de talents EHS et améliorer les capacités des responsables EHS de première ligne afin de pouvoir relever les défis régionaux
- Gérer les partenariats avec les clients et les partenaires afin de garantir la sécurité des intervenants sur les sites des nouvelles unités
- Exécuter des plans d'action EHS pour atteindre les indicateurs de performance clés
- Diriger les responsables et les directeurs du portefeuille EHS des projets et leurs équipes, et leur apporter tout le soutien nécessaire
- BAC+3 en EHS, ingénierie, commerce ou discipline équivalente dans une université ou un établissement d'enseignement supérieur agréé(e)
- Vaste expérience mondiale ou régionale en matière d'EHS et/ou d'encadrement d'équipe de projet
- Expérience opérationnelle de la gestion de grands sites ou de projets de grande envergure
- Bonnes compétences de communication en anglais, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit
- Mobilité : déplacements à prévoir jusqu'à 50 % du temps ; possibilité d'obtenir les permis/visas nécessaires rapidement et dans des délais serrés pour se rendre dans des pays tels que le Royaume-Uni, l'Arabie saoudite, le Koweït, les Émirats arabes unis, la Suisse, l'Allemagne, l'Irlande, la Pologne et parfois les États-Unis
- Solides capacités d'influence et excellentes compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes
- Solides compétences de résolution des conflits, de négociation et de collaboration

- Expérience préalable à un poste de dirigeant
