If this sounds like you, come join The Southern Willamette Management Unit team , as a Seasonal Park Ranger Assistant and help support one of Oregon’s greatest resources – State Parks

The Southern Willamette Management Unit consists of roughly 2,545 acres with properties along the Coast and Middle Fork Willamette River, Dexter Reservoir, Fall Creek Reservoir, and along the McKenzie River. What is a Seasonal Park Ranger?

We recruit for Seasonal Park Ranger positions each year. These positions generally work during our busiest time of year, April through September, when visitors flock to enjoy our beautiful parks. However, each park is unique and the duration of seasonal positions varies slightly from park to park.

Our Mission

Oregon Parks and Recreation Department's (OPRD's) mission is to provide and protect outstanding natural, scenic, cultural, historic and recreational sites for the enjoyment and education of present and future generations.

What you will do:

Assist year-round State Park staff in the protection, maintenance, operation and repair of state park lands, natural and cultural resources, structures, facilities, equipment and systems. In addition, specialized skills in basic park maintenance and operations may be required. Park Ranger Assistants, on a task specific basis, may guide the work of individuals or teams composed of volunteers, seasonal, and/or temporary state park employees.
