YOUR DUTIES AT A GLANCE:

In this position, you will: 

  • Inspect, coordinate licensing, and monitor new and existing Adult Foster Homes (AFH) for Aging and People with Disabilities by ensuring program requirements are met to qualify as a new or retain status as a licensed AFH provider. This position will interpret, evaluate, explain, and apply rules, regulations, guidelines, and policy to the public, providers, staff and partners. This position will ensure provider compliance with AFH rules, regulations, guidelines and policy. This position will collaborate with providers to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. Develop and deliver local training on the AFH program to potential providers.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • The work schedule for this position is a 40-hour work week. May require some work before and after scheduled work hours and on weekends. This position requires a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record.

WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS(MQ’s):

Four years of experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to:

  • recommend management action

OR

  • decide compliance with guidelines and regulations.

Two of the four years must be above the technical support level.

College-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years.

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Interviewing individuals to gather information

  • Experience in explaining technical and licensing information verbally and in writing.

  • Experience in de-escalating difficult conversations and situations.

  • Experience writing reports and analyzing information

  • Experience efficiently managing a workload in a constant and everchanging work environment with priorities realigning
