- Ability to plan resources, analyze methods and movements, machinery efficiency, product design, process design and equipment or fixture design
- Lead audits in area to ensure continued performance
- Identify and develop improvement projects in the areas of safety, quality and productivity using lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma and automation
- Create digital work instructions and / or operating procedures for manual assembly and equipment that meet the guidelines of safety, quality, lean manufacturing and ergonomics
- Develop new layouts and implementation or modifications, using AUTOCAD and working with external contractors along with capacity studies for assembly lines and processes or equipment
- Coordinate the implementation of Smart Factory tools such as Automatic Data Collection, Digital Score Cards (SIM), Vision Systems along with engineering changes, 3F's and pilot runs
- Document the technical and generic specifications of the assembly process or fabrication equipment (functional testers, others) including line layouts, station layouts, information management, capacity and workload balancing, preferred component usage, form tools, tooling, etc.
- Evaluate, validate and implement process design alternatives to create optimum systems for manual assembly, semi-automated and automated processes
- Coordinate and/or participate in the development and updating of the PFMEA's and control plans
- Design, develop and fabricate Poka Yoke and Jidoka fixtures
- Conduct time & motion studies using videos, AI tools, & line-side observations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to effectively manage Engineering/ Manufacturing change orders
This job might be for you if:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree
- Preferred degree program in Engineering including Industrial, Electromechanical, Mechanical or related field
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, project management, and communication skills
- Desired ability to use Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, CAD AutoCAD or Pro/E, statistical analysis Minitab
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills including but not limited to the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments in parallel, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently
