Job Description Summary

As a Test Technician you will provide technical assistance in all aspects of the setup, de-prep and testing of development engine hardware.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Technician, Operations Lead, Senior Technician, Team Leader and Manager in planning and scheduling of all cell / lab activities
• Support test operations per Operations Leader direction by leading and instructing the trades (Union employees) in the test cells and labs during the build-up and teardown phase
• Provides direction and oversight to the trades during the planning and execution of Preventive Maintenance (PM's) plans - (Maintaining facility)
• Participates in Cell / Lab Safety Deep Dives & PQA Audits
• Is responsible for overall safety & operational readiness of the cells / labs
• Hardware procurement
• Coordinates with Evendale Calibration Lab to complete calibrations on area flow meters, transducers, accelerometers etc.
• Defining / Maintaining area Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and other operating / safety practices and procedures.
• Support and perform work in compliance to all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies and regulations
• Work under limited supervision while being proficient in troubleshooting, testing, assembly, disassembly and performing visual inspections
• Periodically prepare and implement supporting work plans to update equipment to enhance lab capabilities
• Execute test on the console
• Perform signal checks
• Participate in Process Improvement projects
• Supports Fuel Nozzle flow checks

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Associate degree in an applicable technical discipline from an accredited school or institution {i.e. Aviation Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Technology, Chemical Technology, etc.} (Or a high school diploma / GED with 1-2 years of work experience in a combustion testing environment)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance when needed is required
