Employment Terms : This is a full-time, benefited, FLSA Non-Exempt position in the Division of Student Affairs that reports to the Director of Career Services. This position is located on the Lawrenceville campus with occasional travel to the Alpharetta North-Fulton Campus as necessary.

Salary – not to exceed $52,000/yr.

Hours – Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 4pm

Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 11213): Bachelor’s degree in a related field *and* Two (2) years of related work experience

Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

Preferred Qualifications:

·Master’s degree in a related field (i.e. career development, higher education, counseling, etc.)

·Experience in career counseling, and advising, preferably in a higher education setting.

·Knowledge of career development theories, job search strategies, and employment trends.

·Experience working with technical college students, in the Technical College System of Georgia, and/or at Gwinnett Technical College

·Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including students, alumni, employers, faculty, and staff.

·Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver presentations and facilitate workshops effectively.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with career services management systems or similar technology platforms.

·Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

·Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in career services and demonstrated cultural competence in working with diverse populations.

Job Description Summary:
Seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Career Services Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and initiatives to support students and alumni in their career development and job search efforts.

The Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of the career, employment, and internship activities, performs other institutional assignments delegated by the Director of Career Services, and represents the College on regular or assigned duties. The duties include but are not limited to the following: administration, operation, and supervision of the program for the development of off-campus employment opportunities (internship, part-time, and full-time) for students and alumni. The Coordinator also cultivates and maintains relationships with employers; develops outreach and educational programming for the Career Services Center; provides a college-wide student employment referral system; and provides access to career resources, workshops, and group or individual assistance to aid students in becoming more employable. All members of the Career Services staff support students through direct student contact and support.

·Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, and occasionally travel on behalf of the college.

Duties/Responsibilities

•Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential employers to facilitate job and internship opportunities for students and alumni.

•Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned internal and external constituents in the area of Public and Professional Services and Computer Science Divisions throughout the career and internship process and beyond.

•Maintain and update career resources, including job postings, internship opportunities, and career-related materials.

•Develop and implement career development programs and workshops, such as networking events, employer panels, and professional development seminars.

•Coordinate on-campus recruiting events and employer visits including career fairs

•Proactively identify opportunities for collaboration, and relationship expansion to maximize customer lifetime value.

•Perform other duties as assigned

•Provide one-on-one career advising to students and alumni, including resume and cover letter review, interview preparation, job search strategies, and career exploration.

·Manage aspects of the CareerLink platform including updating employer information, employment, and internship opportunities

·Implement data collection and management related to student placement in internships and full-time employment

·Maintains up-to-date and accurate employer contact files to properly represent the available workforce to students.

·Arrange and support the employer/student in participating in a situational assessment at the job site.

·Collaborate with campus partners to promote career services and engage students in career-related activities.

·Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employment activities, opportunities, and employer interactions in the CRM system.

·Prepare regular reports and forecasts to track progress toward job and internship targets and inform strategic decision-making.
