Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Science Intern for our office in Austin, Texas.

This position is expected to begin in May/June 2023.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Interns are responsible for performing specific tasks and limited portions of broader assignments and will receive close supervision, guidance, and mentoring from experienced engineers in the office.

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or related field with the intent to continue enrollment after an internship

  • Must have completed 2 years of study in the applicable program

  • Valid Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience/interest in one or more of the following areas: treatability studies, remediation, method development, knowledge of analytical instrumentation, and current and future regulations.

  • Knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Office software such as Work and Excel

Additional Information:

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
