Job Description Summary

Product Support Project Engineering Management/ Planning/ Coordinating activities typically in the context of a production or services project to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Role will provide support equipment product support engineering, including the site activation/setup of MRO facilities globally for T700/CT7 product lines.
  • All activities related to the supervision, organization and execution of engineering service projects, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (SQDC) product line management (if not covered by a dedicated Contract Manager). Responsibility for engineering project methodologies and standards including scheduling and control , to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and collaborative abilities to integrate engineering teams; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses technical judgment and abilities to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.


Required Qualifications
  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Support & Services Engineering Project Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
  • Ability to obtain US DOD Secret Clearance in accordance with The US Personnel Security Program issuance known as DoD Regulation 5200.2-R, at part C3.4.2


Desired Characteristics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
  • T700/CT7 experience
  • Process engineering experience
  • Support Equipment /Test Cell/Capital equipment experience
  • At least three years' experience in the design, prototyping and operational try-out of engine tooling and support equipment.
  • Experience developing manufacturing tool lists for all maintenance levels
  • Experience with MRO capital equipment and facility setup
  • Background with aircraft engine tooling projects from design to sustainment ensuring executable timelines and budgets are met.
  • Proven competence evaluating and selecting vendors for tooling production, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with military maintenance practices and concepts
