Responsibilities

The Senior HR Compliance Manager is accountable for leading the Global HR Compliance Function to support all aspects relating to HR Ethics and Compliance cases including but not limited to investigations, grievance procedures, disciplinary processes and ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies. The role aims to address employee grievances, and works to mitigate potential conflicts through proactive problem solving and leads investigations and other employee concerns, from assignment until closure.

Working in partnership with our Global compliance team and HR community, the role is required to provide assurance that our organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations governing employment practices. The role helps to strengthen the employer-employee relationship in a fair and equitable manner by working independently to identify and resolve workplace issues, mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with laws, policies and processes, and resolve disputes between employees and management by delivering a fair investigation process.

Roles & Responsibilities

SAFETY, SECURITY, QUALITY & COMPLIANCE
  • Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with Companys Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, BCAs/EBAs, regulations, standards, and industry practices and complies with the Companys Code of business conduct
  • Places Quality, Health & Safety, Security and protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers or the communities in which we live and work at risk
  • Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherfords Compliance processes.
  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety arrangements for any person visiting the Company premises


OPERATIONS

  • To conduct and lead HR-related investigations from assignment to closure, and recommend actions through completion, in partnership with Compliance, Legal, Local HR, and the Business. Investigations to be concluded within 60 days after assignment date
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with local Policy and legislation and lead Compliance Peer Support Projects, identify gaps to improve process discipline, compliance with local labor law Globally and Weatherford policies and the overall culture/health of the organization, and to provide input in devising the Action Plan for execution.
  • Analyse investigations data and provide analytics to interpret and communicate trends
  • Lead and manage investigations and other employee concerns, from assignment until closure, including the outcome/finding and proposed recommendations.
  • Direct, guide and support other investigators with compliance investigations, as well as reviewing outcomes and findings of their cases to ensure appropriate recommendations are proposed.
  • Analyse outcomes of investigations (in compliance and other direct Employee grievances raised) to determine the main root causes to assist the business and HR, at Country and GZ level, how best to address those drivers and ultimately limit risk. Prepare and file compliance reports as required
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and Compliance to address complex compliance issues.
  • Participate in and lead conversations regarding application of disciplinary process following the conclusion of investigations, to ensure that follow-up tasks are closed within 30 days after assignment.
  • Provide guidance and training to management and employees on compliance matters.
  • Trouble-shoot hot spot areas and help HR and the business in understanding the core issues within the country and propose an Action Plan to improve efficiency, mitigate risk and reduce conflicts within the teams. And to monitor the progress of the implementation of the action plan by local HR and the business.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and adjust policies as necessary.

FINANCIAL

  • Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

  • Mentoring and coaching of dual report(s) if assigned, in all aspects relating to Employee Relations
  • Training investigators in synopsis writing/making recommendations following the outcomes of investigations.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

REQUIRED
  • A Bachelors degree in either HR or ER/IR, with a minimum of 10 years experience in HR/ER/Legal along with Global exposure / experience
  • A sound knowledge of handling employee grievances and HR-related Compliance investigations
  • Solid understanding of confidentiality and privacy-related concerns
  • Policy and compliance driven, with a global mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks and projects based on risk levels
  • This role requires a keen understanding of HR policies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to implement and monitor compliance programs effectively

Travel Requirement:

This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of between 10-25%
