The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to take on the pivotal role of Program Manager Industry Transition and Guidance within our Timber Harvesting Regulatory Strategy team.

As the government charts a new course away from timber harvesting in State forests, we are at the forefront of this transition. As a Program Manager Industry Transition and Guidance, you'll play a vital role in transforming the Conservation Regulator into a beacon of best practices within the timber harvesting industry.

What You'll Do:

As the Program Manager, you'll lead a program of work that's not only reshaping our regulatory strategy, but also developing tailored guidance for the timber harvesting industry. Your strategic insights will guide the industry's evolution, ensuring its alignment with our state's sustainable future. You'll collaborate extensively with internal teams and external stakeholders to craft intelligent solutions, while providing leadership to a team of dedicated professionals.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

Demonstrated understanding of the role of regulators and best practice in regulatory strategy is essential. Understanding of the Timber Harvesting sector and the relevant laws is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2024. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria.
