Process Safety Associate Enginer

We're seeking a Process Safety - Associate Engineer to work with a major LNG company located in Cameron, LA on a permanent basis.
\r

This role reports to the Manager, Process Safety and will be responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and effectively.

  • \r
  • Support process safety management elements such as MOC, PSSR, PHA, building siting, process design.\r
  • Provide support on the communication of process safety risks.\r
  • Day to day support of Process Safety Barrier Health reporting.\r
  • Attend Process Hazard Assessments (PHAs) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and assist in managing associated action items.\r
  • Assist in the management of process safety event (PSE) investigations.\r
  • Support assessments in the following processes:\r
  • Car sealing\r
  • Procedures - initial start-up and SOP and red line revisions\r
  • Process Safety Events\r
  • Permit to Work\r
  • SIMOPs\r
  • Inhibits / Bypasses\r
  • Safety Critical Element management\r
  • Pre-startup Safety Reviews\r
  • Monitoring process safety metrics and analyzing data to identify trends and outliers.\r


Basic Qualifications:

  • \r
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process or Mechanical Engineering. Based on experience, other Engineering disciplines will be considered.\r
  • 1-3 years of experience working as an Engineer in a process plant environment would be a plus.\r
  • Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of process safety.\r
  • Engineering graduates with a demonstrable passion to pursue a career in process safety would be considered.\r
  • Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.\r
