Our Texas Buildings+Places practice is actively seeking an experienced, passionate, Integrated Design Delivery Leader to be based in Houston, TX. This is not a remote role. This individual will join our Texas leadership group to help ensure quality project delivery, safeguard and train project management values, and grow a culture of accountable technical proficiency for our integrated practice.

AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture. Job Responsibilities:

· Integrate a culture of proficient project delivery across Design and Technical Leadership, Project Managers, and our teams.

· Ensure accountable, compliant performance of Project Managers in the architecture, engineering, interiors, and planning disciplines.

· Work with the team’s project managers to ensure delivery to elevated quality standards, completed efficiently and on time.

· Work with Technical Leads to ensure quality review processes and safeguards are upheld.

· Be a champion to advocate quality practices and advancement of technical delivery standards, across the Texas business.

· Assist Operations Leaders in project financial reviews, helping projects managers to ensure that internal reporting on project progress is accurate and timely, and is in accordance with AECOM’s procedures.

· Serve as the Project Director or Senior Project Manager on selected projects, as the need arises.

· Contribute in pursuit planning efforts, by working with technical leaders to develop project approaches and processes required by technical teams.

· Lead, mentor, and coach team members to grow their design quality expertise and proficient technical documentation and delivery.

· Mentor emerging technical staff towards licensure and related professional certifications

· Work with Capture Managers and Project Approvers in the development of appropriate scope and fees.

· Responsible for coordinating uniformly high production standards and/or monitoring projects to ensure that quality and technical production are met for all design and contract documents.

· Participate and monitor quality control reviews, including dedicated constructability reviews.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or related discipline; +8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
  • Licensure in Architecture or Engineering
  • Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • 15+ years of related experience in Architecture/Engineering project delivery, familiar with the entire design and construction process.
  • Experience in projects across multiple sectors, including both large or small-scale projects, both new construction and renovation, as well as alternative delivery models.
  • Additional professional certifications desired (LEED, DBIA, CDT, PMP, CASp, etc.)
  • For licensed architects, NCARB registration preferred.
  • For licensed engineers, NCEES registration preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of sustainable and emerging technologies, integrated design, LEED, WELL, etc.
  • Project Management Coursework through accredited institutions or professional organizations
  • Working knowledge in relevant zoning and building codes, including local city and county codes, state building codes, accessibility compliance codes, etc
  • Strong project management skills with a thorough understanding of project work plans, schedules, budgets, and the relationship to project profitability.
