Clinical Psychologist

Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.

Duties

The VA Boston Healthcare System/Trauma Recovery Section is accepting applications for one full-time permanent psychologist. This staff psychologist would provide evidence-based psychotherapies to Veterans coping with trauma-related symptoms and associated concerns in our outpatient PTSD Program, as well as treating Veterans receiving care in our Center for Returning Veterans, all within the Trauma Recovery Section. Ideal applicants should be team players with expertise in delivering evidence-based psychotherapies and a strong commitment to clinical training. A demonstrated record of research activity is preferred, and the psychologist may be allotted time for other duties such as education and training, program evaluation, and/or research. This position is based primarily at our Brockton campus; there may be additional responsibilities assigned in other locations as directed by Mental Health or Psychology Leadership.

Our Section aspires to not only learn about multiculturally competent care, but routinely discuss and implement these interventions at the personal, therapeutic, supervisory, and systemic levels. Individuals who are historically underrepresented within the field of psychology are especially encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule : Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30pm; tour may vary based on patient needs and/or staff preference
