Support Staff: Surgical techs in OR Transplant Administrator Transplant Coordinators (all BSNs) Transplant Multidisc team as required by CMS; NP available (IP)
Duties:
Transplant Call screening/accepting/declining deceased donor kidneys
Collaborate w/ the oncall Transplant Coordinator to bring transplant candidate in for potential transplant
Rounding on transplant patients in the hospital less than 90 days from transplant in collaboration w/ the Transplant Nephrologist.
Collaborate w/ IP staff Tx Nephrologist & Tx NP can assist w/ IP throughput (Transplant admin & coordinators can assist in navigating transplant candidate throughout. Coordinators call patients in for transplants but do not triage sick calls on acute transplant.
Required Procedures:
Kidney Transplant w/o Recipient Nephrectomy
Preferred: Lap donor nephrectomy
Trauma Level: I
EMR: Epic

Locum is welcome to attend the weekly Selection Committee meeting.
Locum does not need to supervise NP.

Requirements:
VT License
BC/BE
ASTS Certified (Transplant Surgery)
BLS ACLS
