AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Indianapolis, IN.
This position is expected to begin in May 2023.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Traffic/ITS Engineering Interns can expect to work with experienced traffic engineers supporting the completion of a variety of traffic engineering projects ranging from traffic data collection, modeling, simulation, and studies to the completion of designs for signing, signals, pavement markings, and traffic handling for work zones. Traffic/ITS Engineering Interns may also work with experienced intelligent transportation system (ITS) engineers supporting the completion of planning and design for ITS deployments
- Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
- Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
- Intern 1 – completion of first year of qualified study
- Candidate must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Must have completed one year of study
- Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required
Interest or experience in Traffic Engineering
