Electrical Maintenance Engineer

The purpose of this position is to work within the Maintenance Engineering group to improve manufacturing equipment reliability, specifically with PLC and Automation equipment.


This is a hands off maintenance role that is focused more around planning. We are welcoming no degreed candidates.


  • This position will work to develop our maintenance program as it relates to industrial equipment including electrical (PLC and Siemens) and mechanical.
  • Open, lead and execute improvement projects to eliminate root-causes.
  • Design improvements to reduce equipment weak points.
  • Involved in equipment analysis to determine the best method of maintaining the equipment as well as following up to ensure that the methods are giving the desired result.
  • Responsible for setting strategies for large scale repairs or replacement of equipment considering the life span and utilization of the machine.
  • Work with our CMMS software, Office 365 programs and Power BI to analyze equipment failures and to look for trends in equipment deficiencies.
  • Working cross functionally with maintenance, production, process, utilities, facilities, and other technical groups to reduce equipment failure frequency.
  • Provide input to project teams to ensure maintainability and plant standards compliance for new equipment being purchased.
  • Work closely with Suppliers to improve equipment up-time.
  • Specify recommended spare parts and work with Central Stores, as needed, to ensure parts are on hand


Experience

  • PLC, HMI, Allen Bradley or Rockwell experience (programming or troubleshooting)
  • AAS or HS Diploma
  • BS Engineering preferred but NOT required
