Job Description
Contribute to front-end and back-end development processesDevelop and maintain web services and interfacesBuild new features and or APIsPerform tests, troubleshoot software, and fix bugsDesign, understand, and manipulate database queries and web storageKnowledge of various back-end programming - Python, C#Knowledge of various front-end technologies and web design tools - JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, ASP.NET Framework (C#), jQuery HTML, CSS, JSONUX: Maintainability: Efficient code design, appropriate use of libraries, coding best practices Usability, Interaction Design, & Information Architecture heuristics & best practicesVersion control - GitHub experience a plusContainers - Docker or PodmanTest and document modifications and write clear operational instructionsIn collaboration with management, engineer(s) & developers, determine the overall technical approach to assigned projects and design algorithms and interfacesExperience with Windows Server, Linux Server and Webservers (IIS and Apache) Contribute to database and DevOps processesSQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL/MariaDB, PostgresDevise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired resultsConduct quality assurance reviewsAnalyze the performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with usersInventory management, especially with biospecimens, experience is a plusIn addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related discipline

Experience: At least five years of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Licensure: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
