Role Description

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead sourcing initiatives across our multi-site operations to support long-term business goals, develop key supplier relationships, and drive procurement strategies that align with the company’s growth and cost-saving objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of global supply chains, negotiation expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams in areas such as operations, engineering, and finance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw materials, components, and other critical goods, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and contracts to secure favorable terms and continuous supply reliability.
  • Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives and product specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing, including supplier performance management, cost analysis, and supply chain resilience.
  • Analyze market trends, supply-demand factors, and material availability to proactively manage supply chain risks.
  • Oversee procurement budgets, track spending, and provide forecasts to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and minimize supply disruptions across all four US facilities.
  • Lead supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation and sustainability within the sourcing process.


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field, as well as an MBA or related certifications (e.g., CPSM), is a plus.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably within the plastics or engineered products industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable savings and supplier performance improvements.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a deep understanding of global supply chains and market dynamics.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Infor Visual 10 experience helpful)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites and company facilities as needed.
