Job Summary

The Lead Engineer is responsible for leading a team of associates and supporting the scheduling,assignment and completion of all daily work. All duties are to be performed in accordance withdepartmental and Hyatt Residence Club Carmel, Highlands Inn policies, practices and procedures.CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Assist Director of Engineering and Assistant Chief Engineer in training and directing the work ofassociates in the Engineering department Organize and prioritize projects as assigned and complete all jobs received via the dispatchprocess Oversee and assist with the completion of all work performed by Engineers Receive materials that have been ordered from the warehouse and loading dock Initiate requisitions and orders for materials and equipment, utilizing purchase order system Ensure all policies related to safeguarding and storage of company assets are adhered to andreport any variances to Manager Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention Respond to hotel emergency calls, assist in expediting repairs to ensure guest and employeesafety and comfort Establish and maintain effective working relationship with all departments Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly at all times Maintain knowledge of materials used by various technical trades in the department Assist with training and onboarding of new associates within the department Perform other job-related duties as assignedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. with assistance Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
