AdventHealth Apopka and AdventHealth Orlando in collaboration with AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) are looking for dynamic and innovative Pulmonologists to join established practices in the beautiful Apopka and Orlando, Florida. These positions would have dedicated inpatient and outpatient time focused on General Pulmonology. Each position would be dedicated to their respective site, either Apopka or Orlando.
The physician will work with the experienced and established pulmonologists at AdventHealth Apopka or Orlando. The physician will also have the ability to collaborate and refer patients to the advanced lung disease specialists, thoracic surgeons, pulmonology transplant medical/care team based out of AdventHealth Orlando. This is truly an amazing opportunity to continue to build and cultivate AdventHealth s Pulmonology program within a thriving and fast growing communities. This employment opportunity is for a physician who has a passion for clinical excellence and be willing to build a patient base within the local community. Strong referral base and access to supporting specialists would allow a physician to build a robust patient base quickly.
Additional responsibilities but not limited to:
- Inpatient Rounding
- Outpatient clinic
- Procedural capabilities Bronchoscopies
- Sleep Lab
- Option to pick up PRN Critical Care shifts would be available
- Participation in Thoracic Tumor BoardRequirements:

This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. AdventHealth Apopka is a new, 120 bed acute-care community hospital located in Orange County, just a short drive from Orlando, Florida. Founded in 1975, we provide a wide array of inpatient and outpatient services, ranging from critical care to specialized emergency medicine. We believe in a whole-person philosophy of care that seeks to create a true partnership with the residents of Apopka designed to help them live a healthier, fuller life. The original Apopka hospital was established and opened in 1975 but as of late 2017 we completed new construction for the all new location of AdventHealth Apopka, which is now a beautiful 120-bed 7 story campus, with capacity to grow to 200 beds.
AdventHealth Orlando is part of a larger system AdventHealth (formerly Adventist Health Systems), which operates 30+ hospitals across Florida with nearly an additional 20 hospitals across 10 other states. Community Description
Apopka is also known as the indoor foliage capital of the world because of its multi-million dollar foliage industry. In the city's 24.9 square miles much of the land outside of the commercial and residential area is still used for agriculture. Located in both Orange and Seminole counties (but predominately in Orange County), Apopka borders Altamonte Springs and is also located 12 miles northwest of the popular tourist destination, Orlando. The estimated population is 37,000, and Apopka is noted for being home to the 2001 baseball U.S. Little League champions. Apopka is currently one of the fastest growing areas in central Florida due to new construction on Florida State Road 429 (Daniel Webster Western Beltway), a major highway in the area.
