job summary:
A Lab Technician is needed for a company that manufactures, sells, and markets non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups in the Apopka, FL area. This position entails performing basic testing of materials using various methodologies, maintaining laboratory equipment, interpreting and reporting results, and ensuring compliance with standards while adhering to safety protocols in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:
Perform basic testing of materials using chemical, microbiological, physical, analytical, and/or sensorial methodology.

Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

Operate, evaluate calibration, and validate analytical testing instrumentation.

Ensure adherence to general laboratory safety practices.

Utilize ISO/IEC 17025 Certified methods for testing.

Familiarize with required testing within the dedicated area.

Evaluate information to determine compliance with specifications or standards.

Interpret and input results. Skills:

Experience with testing methodologies such as pH, refractometry, titration, turbidity, density, sensory, gas and liquid chromatography.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry required.

1-2 years of experience in quality testing/manufacturing preferred.
