Vaco Staffing is recruiting for a Sr. Accountant for a client in Waukesha County. This is a direct hire role with our client.

Duties include:

• Lead the transition of remote location accounting and reporting processes to a centralized location
  
• Prepare journal entries to record monthly transactions in the general ledger, ensuring support for each entry
  
• Assist with monthly close
  
• Reconcile assigned account balances
  
• Review and explain account variances
  
• Account for payroll (accruals, including commissions, benefits, and taxes), assets, warrants, and equity
  
• Lead the ERP conversion for the accounting and reporting process and become a subject matter expert
  
• Assist internal customers in researching accounting matters and ensuring the general ledger is accurately presented
  
• Analysis on accounting activity and recommend areas for process improvement
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  
• 3 years of accounting experience (Public accounting and/or mfg preferred)
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
