Sr. Accountant

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Sr. Accountant in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Hartland, Wisconsin. The Sr. Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, account reconciliation, and ensuring the financial integrity of our operations.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting, including the filing of tax returns for a multi-entity/multi-state organization
• Actively participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, meeting set deadlines
• Prepare and distribute all internal and external financial reports in a timely manner
• Review and reconcile various accounts with precision and urgency
• Identify and swiftly address any discrepancies in financial records to maintain financial integrity
• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to perform tasks efficiently and effectively
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate customer credit records.• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in the field of accounting, preferably in the Wholesale Distribution industry.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Proficient in bank reconciliations and general ledger operations.
• Ability to prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experienced in executing month-end close processes.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
