Proposal Writer with Drupal and Website Development ExperienceRequirements

  • Strong technical writing experience, must be able to provide samples
  • Experienced with producing non-technical product level documentation such as product features, roadmap etc. must be able to provide samples
  • Knowledge with latest version of Drupal backend and Core (Samples required)
  • Basic understanding of UX Changes and Responsive design
  • Have an understanding of Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or other related disciplines, or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in writing proposals.
  • Understand and explain complex technical concepts.
  • Previous experience in conducting interviews and creating strategies
  • Write clear and concise proposals.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Work to tight deadlines.
  • An understanding of the IT sales process.
  • Experience in the IT industry proposal writing software, such as MS Word, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher, or Adobe Photoshop.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A positive attitude

Job Responsibilities and Functions

  • Proposal Writing
  • Responses to RFPs
  • Content Management for Proposal Responses
  • Research companies, non-profits, RFPs, and grants
  • Self-Manages to find proposal opportunities
  • Interviews and communicates with technical team and/or subject matter experts to when needed to ensure that work is scoped correctly
  • Responsible for complying with RFP requirements
  • Write documents that help with business development
  • Edit written documents in a professional and credible manner
  • Conduct interviews with key stakeholders as needed
  • Help with reviewing products, services, and project ideas
  • Help create strategies that help with the proposal development
  • Rewrite proposals according to feedback
  • Do presentations
  • Create project schedules
  • Write copies with a consistent tone
  • Organizational skills
  • Work with coworkers such as graphic designers
  • Create graphics and presentations
  • Meet deadlines

  • Experience with App Proposal Responses
  • Hands on experience with website development
  • Experience with the following languages/applications/frameworks: HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, Bootstrap, AJAX, XML, JSON, Web-Services, PHP, MySQL
  • Headless experience - frontend or backend, 3rd-party vendor and API integrations, RESTful best practices and API design
  • Marketing Experience - SEO, Design, Branding
