Estimator Position Essential Job Functions:

  • An engineering or project management degree but not necessary. Skillset and experience are important.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience estimating in in site work and excavation.
  • Review blueprints, bid documents, specifications, geotechnical and environmental reports and prepare RFI's.
  • Proven skills in quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimating techniques.
  • Be aggressive with bids and find a lead worth chasing.
  • Be good with changing orders and minimize costs.
  • Proficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid (Estimating) software a plus.
  • Autonomy with the Estimator position.
