Randstad is seeking an experienced Microbiologist to work with a global leader in agricultural research. This position required the selected candidate to work onsite in St. Louis, Missouri. Relocation cost reimbursement is not available for this position, local candidates are preferred.

salary: $25 - $28 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities
  • Support studies from different projects by analyzing different microbial species.
  • Perform microbial viability and stability assays according to standard protocols.
  • Process samples to recover microbes and cultures in different media.
  • Generate reports and deliver to different groups inside and outside the organization.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on common lab equipment.
  • Assist with lab maintenance and consumable re-stocking tasks.
  • Interact and collaborate with different groups inside and outside the organization.

    What you will need:
    • B.S. (with 3-5 years of experience) or M.S. (with 1-3 years of experience) in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
    • Experience with microbiology techniques (e.g., microbial isolation, culture, and characterization)
    • Experience with molecular biology techniques (DNA extraction, purification, and PCR)
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • Experience processing microbiological samples and preparing solutions.
    • Results and detail oriented.
    • Excellent oral and written communication.
    • Ability to interact and collaborate with different groups inside and outside Bayer.
    • Able to work with minimal supervision.
