Under the supervision of the Controller, or designee, performs professional supportive Accounting Functions in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

Supervises areas of General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Payroll. Oversees the timely completion of Financial Statements and statistical information. Oversees the maintenance of accounting records for all hospital joint ventures. Performs month-end review utilizing the post closing review guide and provides information and assistance to external and internal auditors to facilitate the audit's timely completion. Assist Controller in the completion of the annual budget. Works closely with Accounting Supervisor and Controller in assessing career goals for persons under supervision. Analyzes Third Party transactions and works closely with Business Office and Divisional Reimbursement Office to properly state deductions on financial statement.

Oversees supportive personnel and assigned functions/areas as directed.

Accepts accountability and responsibility as a member of the Accounting Department.

Functions effectively as a multi-disciplinary team member.

Promotes personal growth and professionalism in the work environment.

Demonstrates desirable work habits.

Prepares and maintains departmental operational and capital budget


What qualifications you will need:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting

5+ years of accounting experience

2-4 years of experience in a hospital setting

Supervisory experience required

CPA preferred

Compensation is based on experience and will fall within this range: 75, ,630.40

Medical City Fort Worth is a 350+ bed full-service Magnet Designated hospital. It is located in the heart of the medical district. Medical City Fort Worth serves as a tertiary referral center for Tarrant County and many counties within a 90 mile radius. We offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services. Our specialties include cardiac care, neurosciences and oncology. We have surgical services, orthopedics, kidney transplants and emergency care. We offer three ER locations, including two off campus ER located in Burleson and White Settlement. Medical City Fort Worth is a designated comprehensive stroke center. We are a Joint Commission chest pain center. We are a part of the Medical City network of hospitals. Patients are ensured access to medical experts and advanced healthcare innovations across the network.
