Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and work 1:1 with students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have experience and a passion for working with children who require assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in providing the support our students need to succeed in their educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with toileting, diapering, and changing as needed.
  • Provide lifting and transferring support for students with mobility needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and other school staff to ensure the well-being and safety of students.
  • Implement and follow individualized care plans and medical directives.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the students' physical or emotional conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Experience working with children, especially those with special needs, is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and transferring students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to the well-being of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
