Duties
  • Serves as the Command Labor and Employment Law attorney.
  • Reviews proposed activity regulations and policies for legal sufficiency, impact on other regulations, and on programs, procedures and methods of operation.
  • Represents the Command and the Department of the Army as a trial attorney in all Federal Civil Litigation Proceedings.
  • Cases often involve difficult and complex legal issues or factual questions for which clearly applicable precedents may not exist.
  • Serves as a Command Ethics Counselor by managing the Command ethics program, including Financial Disclosure Programs for processing, compliance, reviewing individual reports, and reporting to HQDA for filing with the Office of Government Ethics.
  • Provides advice to Commanders, Directors, and supervisors on a wide range of general administrative and civil law matters by interpreting statutes, regulations, directives and policies to ensure the command actions are in compliance.
