In this full-time, year-round position, you will provide expertise in speech and language services, working on a transdisciplinary team to support our students. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, consulting, counseling, and designing individualized treatment plans and interventions to meet the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students.
  • Consult and collaborate with students, their families, and staff to ensure cohesive support.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records of student progress and treatment plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the transdisciplinary approach to student care.
  • Provide counseling and support to students and families regarding speech and language development.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech and language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a school or clinical setting.
  • Expertise in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments with confidential information.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration within a transdisciplinary team.
